Nowadays,, hundreds of chemicals and drugs have been used in the market. Benzodiazepine tranquilizers are commonly prescribed by doctors for people. But nobody knows their side effect and seriousness. The side effect of this drug has been used in mice and in man by scientist Stenchever and Frankel and stench ever et al. Scientists like Wyrobek and Bruce have studied the abnormal sperm-producing action of 25 chemical with their clastogenic and carcinogenic and teratogenic action in mice.
The following are the Carcinogenic effect and Mutagenic effect are as follows:-
Carcinogenic Effect:-
a. Cancer is a malignant tumor which grow in size due to complete proliferation of cancer cell and divide and form a lump in the tissue and increase in size and number in an uncontrolled manner.
b. The cancer cell invades the surrounding cell through the blood vessel and causes cancer in another organ of the body.
c. Metastases are the process in which the cancer cell invades in the other part of the body through the blood and affects the whole body.
A chemical that causes cancer is called carcinogens and it can be chemical,, Physical agent and parasitic and biological agent. The chemical carcinogen agent is benzene, coal tar, carbon black, diesel oil, lignite tar, aromatic amines, carbamates, hydrazines, and some inorganic compound like `trivalent arsenic, asbestos, beryllium, chromate, nickel, carbonyl, cadmium, oxide, etc. Some genotoxic substance causes cancer by altering the gene of the cell and increase the probability of cancer. Asbestos is a non-genotoxic carcinogen.
Mutagenic Effect:-
The effect of pollution that causes chromosomal aberration and alteration in genes and bring mutation and effect is called the mutagenic effect. The mutation is undesirable retardation, genetic disease, and decreased life span, and cancer, infertility, and abortion, etc . some of the mutagens are as follows:-
Nitrosamines - Dimethylnitrosamine
Chlorinated HC- Aldrin, DDT
Metallic Pollutants- Arsenic, Beryllium, Chromium
Radiomuclides- Strontium-90 , Plutonium-239
